On the western side of the island, one can view the majestic South China / West Philippine Sea sunset, and stay in one of the two fully-furnished, solar-powered starshell houses built by the Philippine navy.

There is a sea turtle sanctuary on the south and a climatological observatory up north.

The eastern side of the island, where the former shrine was located and where a foreign military outpost now exists, is off-limits to visitors. Unfortunately, due to growing tensions, the bar and restaurant are closed until further notice.
